Viðundrin (Wonderous World of the Wewonders)
Opening Friday the 20th of May at 18.00.
Open through June 15th.
The exhibition is a collection of old and recent work by the artists group
Þiðundrin (The Youwonders), which comprises of Ninna Þórarinsdóttir, Inga
María Brynjarsdóttir and Þórey Mjallhvít H. Ómarsdóttir. The exhibition
will display sculptures, paintings, drawings and other tidbits.
Viðundrin are freaks of all kind, some are human whilst others are
animals. Other viðundrin are neither human nor animal, but of unknown
origin, created by the imagination of humans.
In the recent years, Þiðundrin members have all been engrossed in
exploring the wonderous world of the Wewonders and this exhibition is a
culmination of their obsessions.
